About The Position

As an Inventory Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end management, control, and optimization of inventory across the organization, including handsets, SIM cards, accessories, and network equipment. This role ensures inventory accuracy, availability, compliance, and financial integrity through strong controls, robust systems ownership, and executive-level reporting. The position plays a critical role in minimizing inventory risk, preventing losses, and enabling informed decision-making through data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or operations roles, preferably within telecommunications, technology, or retail distribution environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and WMS platforms managing serialized or high-value assets.
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications inventory dynamics, including the lifecycle and control requirements of highly regulated and serialized assets such as handsets and SIM cards.
  • Proven ability to operate in environments with strict internal controls, audit requirements, and financial accountability, with a strong focus on loss prevention and fraud mitigation.
  • High attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain a strategic, enterprise-level view of inventory performance and risk.
  • Demonstrated capability to translate complex inventory data into clear, executive-ready insights that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies and driving sustainable corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory levels for handsets, SIM cards, accessories, and network gear to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Establish and maintain inventory policies, thresholds, and replenishment guidelines aligned with operational and commercial requirements.
  • Monitor inventory movements and aging to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain strong inventory control frameworks, including cycle count programs and full physical inventories.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation between physical stock and system records.
  • Develop and enforce anti-fraud controls, loss prevention measures, and investigation procedures related to inventory discrepancies.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Finance, and Compliance teams to support audits and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Own and manage inventory-related modules within WMS and ERP systems, ensuring data integrity, proper configurations, and effective utilization.
  • Define system requirements and enhancements to support scalable inventory operations and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting focused on key inventory KPIs, including turnover, inventory aging, and Days of Inventory (DOI).
  • Deliver clear, actionable inventory insights to senior leadership, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, IT, and Operations teams to align inventory strategy with business needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for inventory-related topics across functional stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop inventory and operations staff, setting clear priorities and performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the inventory function.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies, controls, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
  • Directly supervise and provide mentorship to a group of employees in the B2C Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
