Inventory Manager
About The Position
The Inventory Manager is responsible for keeping the dealership lot organized, accurate, and market-ready at all times. This role involves managing all new and pre-owned inventory, coordinating deliveries, handling title and registration documentation, monitoring inventory aging, and coordinating with the service department for inspections and reconditioning. The position supports trade-in processing and assists with auction activity. This is a stable, hands-on role at a prestigious Mercedes-Benz store in Marin County, where reliability and accuracy directly support the sales and service operations.
Requirements
- Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred.
- Strong DMS proficiency preferred.
- California DMV title and registration knowledge is a significant advantage.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy.
- Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage all new and pre-owned inventory on the lot, ensuring accurate tracking of vehicle location, status, and availability in the DMS.
- Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries, including receiving, inspecting, and processing new inventory.
- Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory, ensuring compliance with California DMV requirements.
- Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning, providing relevant information to sales and leadership.
- Coordinate with the service department on pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow.
- Support trade-in processing and pre-owned vehicle intake.
- Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination as directed.
