About The Position

Organize and maintain stockroom inventory in accordance with company procedures. Responsible for receipts and issuance of inventory to both internal and external customers. Counting and verifying inventory in stockroom to ensure inventory accuracy. Any discrepancies or damages to material will be reported immediately to management. Prior stockroom or inventory control experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and work within the company parameters is essential. Capable of standing for 9 hours and lifting up to 40 pounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Proficiency in using applications such as Outlook and Microsoft Teams is required. Additionally, must be flexible and willing to work in other areas to meet business needs. Ensures compliance with material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Troubleshoots and rectifies straightforward discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in material handling, including receiving, stocking, and issuing inventory.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory flow, and material control processes.
  • Experience with order picking and order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to support internal and external customers effectively.
  • Ability to accurately handle materials, maintain records, and follow established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in inventory and order processing.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with customers, team members, and other departments.
  • Proficiency in using applications such as Outlook and Microsoft Teams is required.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in other areas to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and administrative tasks supporting stockroom, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Receive and verify incoming materials for accuracy, condition, and documentation compliance.
  • Reject, document, and disposition unsatisfactory or nonconforming items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Stock shelves and organize inventory to ensure proper storage, identification, and accessibility of materials.
  • Pull, stage, and issue parts and supplies to support production, maintenance, and program requirements.
  • Process MTOs accurately and in a timely manner to meet operational and customer needs.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively to move, store, and distribute materials.
  • Maintain inventory records and complete required administrative transactions and documentation.
  • Support stockroom and material operations for all SMS segment programs residing in Brevard County.
