About The Position

Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Calculates and records storage. May reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at destination. Prepares and maintains records of shipped products and tracks shipments. Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks for goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications. Maintains records of received goods. Stocks and distribute materials in inventory. Lifts heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) following all safety protocols and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification. Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and ability to learn to use a forklift, order picker and power pallet jack
  • Ability to work from extended heights
  • Proficient in MS Office and good written communication
