The Inventory Management Specialist plans, implements, monitors and coordinates the maintenance, service and installation of store/food prep equipment along with being responsible for safety, labor productivity, efficiency, and inventory management. This role is responsible for efficiently and accurately checking in all grocery, meat, produce, bakery, deli, and liquor vendor deliveries, enforcing store operating hours for receiving, and controlling the flow of vendor traffic. The specialist verifies delivered items against vendor invoices, ensuring quality, count, and condition, and checks for legible pricing and proper extensions. They are responsible for flagging discrepancies, handling damaged/spoiled products, and performing accurate posting of invoice documents. Maintaining cleanliness of warehouse, receiving, storage, and spill areas, and operating equipment like bailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts in compliance with safety policies are also key duties. Ensuring compliance with health department, weights and measures, liquor and tobacco laws, and invoice handling regulations is required.
