About The Position

Our client, a leader in their industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control & Logistics Specialist to support material receiving, inventory management, and logistics operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with large volumes of data, investigating discrepancies, and using SAP and Excel to improve inventory accuracy. This role is Hybrid, and located in the Markham, ON area.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in logistics, material planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or a related function.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP ECC, preferably within the Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, filters, and data reconciliation.
  • Experience consolidating and comparing information from multiple reports or data sources.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an automotive, manufacturing, warehouse, or high-volume logistics environment.
  • Exposure to ERP implementation, migration, or post-implementation stabilization.
  • Experience improving material receiving, cycle-counting, or inventory-reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of supplier coordination, goods receipts, material movements, and inventory-status tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day material receiving and inventory-control process.
  • Review shipment and receiving plans and compare expected materials against actual receipts.
  • Consolidate and analyze receiving and inventory data from SAP, warehouse reports, supplier records, and other internal systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve material receiving and inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and compare physical inventory against SAP system records.
  • Work closely with warehouse teams, production locations, suppliers, and internal business partners to resolve material issues.
  • Monitor inventory movements and help maintain accurate material records across multiple locations.
  • Assist with coordinating incoming materials to support operational and production requirements.
  • Identify recurring discrepancies and contribute to process improvements that strengthen receiving accuracy and inventory control.
  • Prepare clear reports and communicate findings, risks, and recommended solutions to relevant team members.
