POSITION SUMMARY The Inventory Lead directs the logistics efforts of the distribution center and assists with loading/unloading product in the warehouse and performing other material handling operations as needed. Protect the accuracy, integrity and salability of our client’s inventory entrusted to us, by adhering to standard operating procedures and meeting physical inventory and/or cycle count accuracy expectations Maximize capacity through reports and ODW’s warehouse management system Operate material handling equipment to load/unload materials and move materials within the warehouse to pick orders and put product away Perform root cause analysis for inventory issues found through cycle counting or replenishment problems Train and develop employees on inventory processes, such as cycle counting and floor moves Communicate and work with various department supervisor/manager (transportation, warehouse, management, co-workers and customers) to ensure efficient operations and improvement of operational issues All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent education/work experience preferred
  • 3 – 5+ years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, AS400, data entry and previous experience with web-based applications preferred
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team-building skills and ability to lead others
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Must have a hands-on approach
  • Problem solving and time management skills
  • Hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate
  • Continuously sit, type and perform repetitive wrist motion
  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn or reach
  • Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities
  • Work with material handling equipment that must be operated according to specific operating procedures
  • Spend 70 – 80% of time on warehouse floor in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
