About The Position

Under the direction of the department Supervisor, the Inventory Lead coordinates activities and assigns specific tasks to a group of associates in a designated area in order to achieve production goals and maximize productivity. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring material flow, providing coaching, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The Inventory Lead is responsible for inventory accuracy, training associates, and fostering a positive work environment focused on continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AS 400/ PRMS a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish/Vietnamese

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective and efficient completion of shift duties in all areas assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure efficient flow of material.
  • Provide verbal coaching to associates to address operational performance issues.
  • Report all operational and behavioral challenges to Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Access, interpret and accurately apply all systems reporting information related to the work area.
  • Provide training to Inventory associates in areas such as SOP's, job specific procedures, and filling out required documentation correctly.
  • Ensure compliance to SOP's, Housekeeping, and all other FE policies.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by training personnel on safety issues, conducting safety huddles, completing safety accident and/or incident reports, and recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts.
  • Continuously maintain a clean work environment.
  • Ensure employees are taking their scheduled breaks/lunches and finishing their shift on time.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting and counts of all warehouses on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate essential warehouse duties such as accurate cycle counting, ensuring all voice shorts are cleared and acknowledged, and high value items are verified each day.
  • Coach, train, and lead work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization to Inventory practices, warehouse posting, and detailed research on high variances.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy; report inventory levels to prevent shortages and excessive surplus.
