About The Position

The Inventory Lead will be responsible for performing and documenting inventory type functions on a daily basis. These functions include cycle counting to auditor’s specific schedule, cleaning up any variances found internally and any other manager assigned duties throughout the shift. This is an on-site hourly position and requires a daily presence. The work schedule is as follows: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, with additional hours during peak times and year-end. RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and/or scissor-lift.
  • Must have high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Solid work history that demonstrates reliability and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and easily adjusts to changing work conditions with a positive attitude.
  • Develops and maintains positive work relationships with both management and co-workers.
  • Receptive to coaching and utilizes critical feedback to grow skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Certification in the operation of a forklift truck
  • ERP system experience
  • Inventory Control Experience

Responsibilities

  • Run inventory reports in JDE to help identify, count, and correct any inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform special counts assigned by management on specific areas, items or variances from receipts.
  • Set up and run assigned cycle counts in JDE for the Cycle Count Team.
  • Run variance reports and assign recounts for the Cycle Count Team.
  • Provide accurate cycle count data to department manager for reporting and metrics.
  • Help with the daily cycle counts as needed.
  • Operate RF scanners to enter cycle count data and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure material on the floor is properly packaged and stored to prevent damage.
  • Work in collaboration with Manufacturing, Shipping, and Receiving to locate missing products.
  • Periodically perform audits for Cycle Count Team and Receiving Material Handlers.
  • Help identify issues and provide recommendations for improvements that prevent inventory variances.
  • Assist with the recording and disposition of damaged products.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate a forklift daily performing counts and audits.
  • Fill-in as a back-up for the Receiving Department as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.
