About The Position

Sandvik Parts and Services, a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry, is seeking an Inventory Lead for their 2nd shift (starting at 2:30 PM). This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by ensuring that inventory entries and adjustments are reflected accurately in the warehouse management system. The Inventory Lead will direct team members, resolve inventory issues, and ensure operational reporting is completed accurately.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of warehousing and inventory experience.
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Working knowledge of a warehouse management system (preferably Blue Yonder or SAP) or plant systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong Excel and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with associates/customers.
  • Ability to work a specific shift.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions/work procedures/safety rules.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment as needed.
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations.
  • Ability to operate basic document and spreadsheet software.
  • High School or equivalent experience.
  • English Proficiency: Intermediate (CEFR B1/ Completed EF level 6).

  • Post-secondary education/training in a business or supply chain discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, and assist in physical inventory, including auditing and monitoring cycle counts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.
  • Confirm completion of cycle count activity daily.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze inventory issues/discrepancies and process accurate inventory adjustments to match physical inventory movement.
  • Analyze results of counts to initiate permanent corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all operational reporting is completed and made available via applicable Sandvik systems (e.g., LPS, unconfirmed and nil picks reporting).
  • Drive and partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement approved changes.
  • Monitor and direct the work of others.
  • Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods to associates.
  • Maintain warehouse administration and housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead small task teams in the warehouse to achieve daily outcomes, including allocation of responsibilities, providing backup support, on-the-job coaching and guidance, and answering technical queries.
