About The Position

The Inventory Lead is responsible for performing daily cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and identifying root causes of problems. This role involves pulling slow-moving or obsolete inventory for disposal, salvage, or donation, which may require physically lifting or moving product. The lead will also process returned shipments, ensuring proper documentation is maintained. Additionally, the Inventory Lead will participate in and coach teams during physical inventories, research unique inventory occurrences, and maintain food safety and sanitation standards. This position also includes oversight of the B2B/BTQ team, direct leadership of one warehouse associate, ensuring orders are completed according to KPIs, and performing quality control checks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and volume.

Responsibilities

  • Performing cycle counts daily as assigned.
  • Investigating inventory discrepancies found through cycle counts and determining root cause of problem.
  • Pulling slow moving or obsolete inventory as requested by the customer in order to dispose, salvage, or donate. This may include physically lifting or moving product or materials.
  • Processing returned shipments by unloading the trailer and determining what is first quality or damaged inventory.
  • Ensuring that all proper written documentation is signed off and filed.
  • Participating and coaching LTO's during physical inventories or samplings as requested by the customer to ensure the integrity of the inventory process.
  • Identifying and researching unique inventory occurrences to correct them prior to having to lock a bay or make an inventory adjustment.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, in accordance with Food Safety Guidelines.
  • Additional oversight of B2B/BTQ (Business to Business and Boutique) team and those order types:
  • Direct leadership of 1 warehouse associate
  • Ensure orders are waved and completed in accordance with established KPI’s
  • Performs Quality Control checks to ensure quality
