About The Position

The Inventory Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing operations by assisting with the accurate tracking and management of inventory levels. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in inventory control processes, including data entry, stock audits, and reporting. The intern will collaborate closely with the inventory management team to ensure materials and products are accounted for and properly documented, contributing to efficient production workflows. Through this role, the intern will gain valuable insight into supply chain logistics and inventory optimization strategies within a manufacturing environment. Ultimately, the Inventory Intern will help maintain inventory accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and support the overall operational efficiency of the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data entry tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analytical skills to assist in identifying trends and discrepancies in inventory data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular stock counts and data entry.
  • Support the inventory management team in reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Help prepare inventory reports and documentation to track stock levels, usage, and reorder points.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to ensure timely receipt and storage of materials.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and efficiency.
