Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory, purchasing, or related operational experience required
  • Experience with SAP and inventory systems strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic accounting and financial tracking experience preferred
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds and perform physical inventory tasks as needed

Responsibilities

  • Create purchase and service requisitions, partner with vendors to secure best pricing, and manage purchase orders within SAP.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, process receipts, charges, and requisitions, and ensure proper stock levels across parts and supply systems.
  • Submit invoices to accounts payable, reconcile discrepancies, and collaborate with vendors and accounting to resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.
  • Support accounting functions including journal entries, cost tracking, and reporting for barn construction and parts department operations.
  • Manage grower and barn construction accounts, track labor and material costs, and ensure expenses are accurately charged to the appropriate cost centers and jobs.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, run reports, analyze purchase and inventory data, and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with new vendor setup and item creation in SAP, including compliance documentation such as SDS requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure inventory accuracy aligns with company policies.
  • Coordinate the handling and disposal of outdated or obsolete products in partnership with vendors and compliance teams.
  • Maintain safety records, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with company policies, including SDS documentation.
  • Verify, unload, and organize incoming freight and distribute parts and supplies while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process for the department.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support operations and team success.
