About The Position

An Inventory Control Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts of materials, parts, and finished goods within a warehouse or production environment. This role compares physical inventory against system records, investigates and resolves discrepancies, and identifies root causes of inventory variances. Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate industrial fork trucks to handle pallet loads of materials.
  • Ability to handle a pallet jack.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Use PC and RF systems independently and effectively.
  • Solve problems while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Communicate both verbally and written, effectively and efficiently.
  • The ability to gain a wide knowledge base of areas affecting and relating to inventory.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Performs continuous physical inventory of finished goods, WIP, Raw Materials and Supplies.
  • Consistently executes quality system work procedures pertinent to the position.
  • Verifies through SAP inventory quantities are accurate; makes necessary changes for system accuracy.
  • Checks quality assurance, assembly area, receiving and shipping docks for items no on location or staged.
  • Counts and records on locations of all items being inventoried. Calculates number of individual pieces based on number of pallets, hampers/boxes, pieces. Record results manually and systematically.
  • Verifies locations of supplies etc.
  • Launch investigative query for missing items or items not on said location. Resolves discrepancies between physical counts and system counts.
  • Assists in doing inventories and spot audits.
