The Inventory Cost Accounting Supervisor oversees the accuracy of inventory records and accounting—inventory reporting, cycle counting, requisitioning material, and inventory adjustments. This role ensures proper physical inventory or A-B-C cycle counts are performed at all domestic and select international locations, investigates cycle count variances, and reconciles book and perpetual inventories. The supervisor prepares reports on inventory variances, assesses manufacturing variances, and performs month-end duties related to inventory for accurate financial reporting. Additionally, the role involves analyzing excess and obsolete inventories, assisting with LIFO reserve calculations, and compiling information for item standard costs. The supervisor also aids in preparing annual budgets for manufacturing plants and supporting departments, prepares inventory-related audit schedules, and supports the annual financial statement audit. This position supervises Inventory Specialists at various locations and requires travel to other manufacturing facilities (25%).
