About The Position

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow, inventory levels, replenishment, and allocation of manufactured and purchased materials required to build Vermeer products. This role supports global customers and requires a dependable team player who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months Vermeer experience.
  • Successful completion of Vermeer forklift certification as required for the work location.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to respond to questions from managers and suppliers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD and other software.
  • Ability to perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage manufacturing and/or purchased parts inventory according to standard work or in an orderly manner.
  • Perform inventory replenishment activities and coordinate inventory level adjustments based on production schedules, working with supply chain and area managers.
  • Organize and deliver part kits from various locations to internal and external customers.
  • Key transactions into the computer system (Glovia) as material is issued or follow standard work for order processes.
  • Ensure accuracy of all transactions, including back orders, by examining purchase orders and investigating discrepancies, missing or excess items.
  • Follow the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) process on the production floor and manage associated scrap levels.
  • Coordinate with outside suppliers for outsourcing processes like heat treat and zinc plating.
  • Support 5S/workplace organizational goals, offer suggestions, and make improvements to achieve department metrics.
  • Mentor and train new team members to ensure their performance meets expectations.
