About The Position

The Inventory Control person’s primary responsibility is to maintain inventory and location accuracy in the facility. Perform adjustments, cycle counts, and customer inventories as required from both written and verbal instructions while adhering to time guidelines set forth by the department/site manager. The inventory control person also delivers on the day-to-day commitments to our Customer, our Company and our People. The Inventory Control will support the Business in operating as outlined in the Crescent Way and 3P’s: Purpose, Process, People. While building on our Culture of: Doing It Right, Doing It Safe, Doing It Well.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Warehouse and Inventory Experience
  • The ability to pay attention to one’s surroundings and to act in a safe and predictable manner at all times.
  • The ability to read instructions and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and understand percentages.
  • The ability to communicate with facts and to balance talking with listening.
  • Being self-motivated and motived by achieving set targets while continually seeking out opportunities to eliminate waste. Ability to accept and embrace change.
  • The ability to manage one’s time effectively, schedule and prioritize tasks in accordance with the demands of the day.
  • Reliable in attendance and punctuality; completes assigned responsibilities to satisfaction; follows through with commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventories and cycle counts per customer/management request to ensure accuracy of product and/or location codes
  • Perform audits as required to assure accuracy and determine root causes for inaccuracies, providing feedback to management regarding errors
  • Scrap parts list; adjust inventory per customer request
  • Set up new parts
  • Process returns
  • Process MTO (Material Transfer Orders) orders
  • Responsible for production accuracy and for providing feedback to management regarding errors
  • Validate shelf-life parts
  • Improve organizational efficiency and waste reduction
  • Align and optimize the allocation of People to meet established production targets
  • Balances Immediate and long-term priorities: seeks to meet critical objectives while considering the impact of those decisions and activities on the ability to achieve long-term goals
