About The Position

Huhtamaki, Inc. is a key global provider of sustainable packaging solutions, aiming to make all packaging recyclable, reusable, or compostable. They ensure the hygiene and safety of food and drink worldwide. This Inventory Control position is located at their facility in Andalusia, AL, and requires the candidate to be within reasonable commuting distance. The work schedule is Saturday to Tuesday, from 7 am to 5 pm.

Requirements

Must be able to stand constant and bend frequently throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Continuous mental and visual attentiveness while performing work activities
Must be able to work any shift, nights or weekends, if needed.

Responsibilities

Observe all Huhtamaki safety always policies & use safe working methods and procedures to avoid injury to self, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property
Move material through facility with the use of material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, etc.) as required
Load and unload trucks
Conduct material audits of inventory
Train and become proficient in Warehouse Management Systems, Inventory Controls System, & BPCS
Schedule delivery and pick up appointments for all incoming and outgoing shipments
Ensure stock is full for departments and skids are organized
General housekeeping in warehouse department to include helping keep baler area clean
Other duties as assigned
