About The Position

Ariens Company is seeking a proven Inventory Control Technician for our office in Kenosha, WI. This role involves counting materials and supplies, coordinating distribution center inventory, assisting quality control with scrap removal, reconciling inventory balances, performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory by identifying and eliminating problems, performing internal audits, and communicating with external auditors. The technician will also support material distribution leaders and oversee finished goods inventory by leveraging the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain accurate records and support warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Understand the interrelationships between all functional areas that affect inventory balances, and the associated transactions that occur
  • Strong language, mathematical, reasoning and computer skills; problem solving ability
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Count materials or supplies in stock; and works with appropriate buyers to resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate/monitor distribution centers inventory on a daily basis
  • Assist quality control in removing scrap from inventory
  • Reconcile inventory balances
  • Cycle count all finished goods and engines to ensure that system balances equal counted balances
  • Investigate discrepancies and understand rationale behind all adjustments
  • Manage inventory by identifying and eliminating problems
  • Perform internal audits as necessary
  • Assist and communicate directly with external auditors
  • Work, support and assist material distribution leaders
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet customer needs
  • Oversee finished goods inventory by leveraging advanced knowledge of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain accurate inventory records and support warehouse operations
