About The Position

KSB GIW, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Technician for their SupremeServ department in Thomson, GA. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring re-order points, and initiating replenishment actions. The technician will also organize and coordinate all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and pulling of service jobs, to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery. The position requires conducting work activities professionally and in compliance with KSB GIW, Inc. Health and Safety Policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience required.
  • Proficient in the use of inventory control software.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, including shipping and receiving
  • Promote safety and housekeeping at all times.
  • Must be able to work overtime on short notice as and when required.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personnel protective equipment.
  • Willing to pursue further education and training.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding attendance and safety.
  • Operates forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks as and when needed.
  • Ability to use inventory label equipment such as label printers, ID tags, barcodes, etc.
  • Ability to interpret OEM bill of materials.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and reconcile stock counts.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office applications as well as a working knowledge in SAP systems/CRM Systems.
  • Performs at a high standard in each area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of raw material and components related to pumps and other rotating equipment.
  • Attention to detail and strong math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Performs tactical and strategic problem solving and ability to make good, sound decisions.
  • Assists in implementation of department goals.
  • Makes recommendation to supervisors and manager for improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all work is carried out in a clean and safe environment as per the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure efficient and safe material storage and handling.
  • Safely and efficiently operates mechanical lifting devices such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of materials and stocked products, including stock locations and profiles.
  • Monitors stock levels and makes recommendations to manager for level changes.
  • Ensures safe/correct lifting of parts in warehouse.
  • Retrieve materials for service orders comparing against information on picking slips, bill of materials, etc. insuring quantities and materials are accurate prior to issuing to production.
  • Process incoming shipments to verify accuracy of goods received in accordance with KSB GIW, Inc procedures.
  • Organizes warehouse racking and parts storage for easy identification and tracking.
  • Moves materials and castings throughout the plant as directed.
  • Keeps organized records as instructed.
  • Makes recommendation to supervisors and manager for improvements.
  • Notifies QC and appropriate persons on non-conforming products.
  • Keeps stock levels and inventory accurate with weekly cycle counts.
  • Collaborates with inventory management to ensure service warehouse activities are in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Prepares all outbound assemblies for safe shipment and handling per procedure.
  • Unloads all incoming shipments as needed.
  • Ensures proper labeling and sorting of spares within warehouse.
  • Inspects, logs, photos and fills out proper documentation on all incoming & outgoing shipments.
