About The Position

FLOWCO Production Services is seeking an Inventory Control Technician for their Midland, TX location. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing cycle counts and audits, investigating discrepancies, and managing the flow of materials within the warehouse. The technician will operate ERP systems, process documentation, and ensure materials are properly stored and organized. This position requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to operate material-handling equipment. The role also involves preparing inventory reports and assisting with reconciliation. Compliance with company inventory policies and quality standards is essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet operational demands.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Oil field experience
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, when authorized.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally, if required.
  • Ability to work primarily nights shifts, weekends, overtime and flexible schedules as required.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse operations, material handling practices, receiving, shipping, stocking, picking, and issuing materials.
  • Understanding of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP/WMS software, and barcode scanning
  • Knowledge of shipping documentation, purchase orders, packing lists, and inventory records
  • Understanding of workplace safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Knowledge of basic quality control and material inspection procedures
  • Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to accurately count, identify, label, and track inventory
  • Skilled in using computers, scanners, spreadsheets, and inventory management software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify shortages, overages, damaged materials and investigate discrepancies make necessary adjustments.
  • Ability to meet productivity, accuracy, and safety standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot inventory issues and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle inventory information responsibly

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory levels are properly documented.
  • Perform daily cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged materials.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and accurately record incoming materials and products.
  • Pick, stage, issue, and transfer materials according to work orders and inventory requirements.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, organized, and rotated.
  • Operate ERP systems to update inventory transactions.
  • Process purchase orders receiving documents, shipping records, and material transfer documentation.
  • Monitor inventory locations and ensure accurate bin, lot, serial number, and quantity information.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, production, shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas.
  • Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide accurate information regarding stock levels and discrepancies.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and adjustments while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company inventory policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet production, shipping, receiving, and customer requirements.
  • Perform additional warehouse and inventory-control duties as assigned.
