Inventory Control Tech
About The Position
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, the Inventory Control Technician is responsible for ordering and purchasing of inventory locations, maintaining the inventory database, maintaining correct inventory, and assisting with materials management directives. This role involves meeting with vendors by appointment to obtain information, processing new item requests prior to use/item conversion, and staying informed about changes pertaining to all inventory locations by attending necessary meetings and communicating with department management. The technician also provides support for distribution/warehouse staff by performing their duties when needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in inventory control and/or hospital supply chain experience
- Proven knowledge and experience with requisition and inventory control systems
- Ability to communicate at a high level to interact with department directors and nurses
