About The Position

The Inventory Control Supervisor ensures that all inventory is properly categorized and accounted for. This role involves receiving inventory, ensuring complete unloading of shipments, performing inventory cycle counts, and researching missing parts to locate them. The supervisor is responsible for training new hires, organizing workflow, identifying priorities, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments. They must also ensure employee compliance with all corporate and departmental work policies and procedures, interface effectively with management across diverse departments, and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and ISO standards. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and establishing production levels in shipping areas, ensuring warehouse personnel follow inventory handling policies, and directing warehouse personnel as necessary. All other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Previous experience in warehousing.
  • Previous experience handling inventory.
  • Previous experience with bar code equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Very detail oriented and always comes prepared.
  • Plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions, prepares for problems or opportunities in advance, undertakes additional responsibilities.
  • Strong judgment and decision making.
  • Works harmoniously with others to get a job done, responds positively to instructions/procedures, and works well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Research missing parts to find current locations.
  • Train new hires, organize workflow, identify priorities and ensure accuracy of shipments.
  • Ensure compliance of employees to all corporate and departmental work policies and procedures.
  • Interface effectively with all levels of management in many diverse departments.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and ensure all areas remain in ISO and corporate compliance.
  • Monitor and establish production levels in the shipping areas of the warehouse.
  • Ensure that all warehouse personnel follow policies and procedures for inventory handling.
  • Direct warehouse personnel as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.
