Now Hiring: Inventory Control Specialist Location: Woodland, WA Yard We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at our Woodland, WA Yard location. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and ensuring inventory transactions are accurately reflected within company systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring inventory transactions, quantities, and costs within inventory management systems.
  • Compile and analyze inventory-related information from shipping and receiving documents, requisitions, contracts, accounting reports, and other operational records.
  • Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits, comparing physical inventory to system records to identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances through physical verification, transaction research, and system analysis.
  • Process inventory adjustments and corrections as necessary to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Create, assign, and maintain Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) numbers in accordance with established inventory classification standards.
  • Manage and update SKU master files, including item additions, modifications, and deletions.
  • Generate and review inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, negative inventory balances, and stock availability concerns.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and communicate findings to management as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve inventory accuracy and support inventory control initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations to promote a safe working environment.
  • Participate in required safety meetings and training programs and recommend improvements to safety practices when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
