About The Position

St. Luke's is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain inventory control in assigned areas. This full-time, night shift position involves ordering and delivering supplies, communicating inventory issues, and entering transactions into the computer system. The role also includes managing supply locations in clinical areas, assisting with product conversions and recalls, and ensuring a neat and orderly work environment that meets regulatory requirements.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Must be accurate in dealing with figures.
Prior computer experience preferred.
Inventory control background.

Responsibilities

Order and deliver supplies and maintain inventory control in assigned areas.
Communicate inventory problems to the Supervisor and supply information to the appropriate department.
Enter Storeroom and Linen Room transactions into the computer system.
Manage supply locations in Clinical areas, including updating par papers and shelf labeling, and rotating supplies.
Assist with product conversions, evaluations, and recalls.
Ensure adequate stock turnover rate.
Expedite items with Purchasing that are out of stock or low stock.
Communicate the status of out-of-stock or low-stock items to relevant managers and departments.
Maintain proper shelf labels of all supplies.
File requisitions and reports in an orderly manner.
Handle Linen in accordance with Hospital Policy and Infection Control standards.
Maintain a neat and orderly area according to EOC, DOH, JCACHO requirements.
