About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing daily cycle counts, and ensuring inventory transactions are accurately processed within the ERP system. This position plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by maintaining inventory integrity, investigating discrepancies, and driving continuous improvements in inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory control, warehouse, materials management, or related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to safely work in a warehouse environment and follow all safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and inventory management activities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
  • Process inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, overages, and potential inventory risks.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Production, and Warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure proper storage, identification, labeling, and handling of inventory materials.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as the site lead for inventory audits, acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors and ensuring timely completion of all inventory-related audit requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead inventory-related activities during external audits, including preparing documentation, facilitating inventory counts, researching variances, and responding to auditor requests.
  • Support annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
