About The Position

This position is with Safelite, an auto glass company, and focuses on ensuring customers' safety on the road by delivering parts to their experienced technician team. The Inventory Control Specialist conducts regular physical inventory audits to ensure precise inventory counts that align with customer requirements and operational needs. Every item handled or inspected contributes to the company's purpose of bringing unexpected happiness to people's everyday lives.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Weight limit of 300 pounds to safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations.
  • Experience and knowledge using Microsoft programs including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A solutions mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience or willingness to learn how to operate MHE equipment.
  • Comfortable with working in various environmental conditions, such as seasonal heat or cold, and staying in a stationary position for long shifts.
  • Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Punctuality and consistent attendance to help your teammates.
  • Positive attitude with a focus on exceptional service.

Nice To Haves

  • Some inventory control experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily physical inventory count assignments using an RF scanner and material handling equipment (MHE) including an order picker raised up to 40 feet.
  • Assist in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies in WMS software.
  • Perform internal audits as necessary to verify part numbers, quantity, or process effectiveness.
  • Participate in special inventory scenarios or projects as needed, including physical part moves using MHE equipment.
  • Follow up on quality alerts or notifications and handle processing, packaging, and completion of action items.
  • Adhere to all safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Maintain a secure and clean work area.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties.
