About The Position

Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling. Busch Vacuum LLC has an immediate direct-hire opportunity open for an Inventory Control Specialist at our service center in Austin, Texas. The work hours are 6am to 3pm CST. The Inventory Control Specialist generates outbound advice and picking lists for multiple origins, coordinates delivery of picking lists to applicable departments, is responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counts and reconciliation, and supports warehouse activities such as material handling, use of forklifts and possibly local pick up and delivery, as needed. Prior MRP experience is required, preferably SAP. Requirements

  • 2+ years of inventory control or related experience: Required
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel: Required
  • ERP/WMS experience required, SAP highly preferred
  • Forklift experience or ability to get certified: Required
  • Experience driving a box truck, or comfortable learning: Highly preferred
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Must possess strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity, accountability, and dependability
  • Must be detail oriented and have good decision-making ability
  • Must possess good initiative and ability to coordinate activities across departments
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred
  • Experience driving a box truck, or comfortable learning: Highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Generate outbound advice and picking lists for sales, distribution, service, and manual transfers in a sequence that prioritizes allocations
  • Review, manage and sort orders and picking list to distribute to warehouse personnel by type of shipment
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to identify orders that need corrections or clarification
  • Generate and process cycle counts and research and resolve discrepancies, generate cycle count recounts as necessary
  • Investigate errors/issues for root cause determination
  • Synchronize problem solving and maintain effective communication between departments
  • Warehouse responsibilities to include coordination, along with shipping and receiving, material handling and doing local pick-up delivery, as needed
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste
  • Temporarily assumes the responsibilities of the Production Control Clerk as needed
