The Inventory Control Specialist will be primarily responsible for performing monthly cycle counts, end of year cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory variances, fulfillment tasks including allocating product and adding empty reels to incoming orders, inputting orders for vendors, receiving supermarket product into inventory as it arrives, entering/validating/auditing info on all the Kanban boards, filing completed orders appropriately, using IMS systems to print labels and tag measured reels and using a forklift to put away product, and assisting the Distribution Center Manager in effectively managing inventory. The employee must be able to work effectively in a high involvement, empowered work environment. In addition, the Inventory Control Specialist must work as a member of a team and be able to interact and work cooperatively with the Shipping/Scheduling Supervisor, Leads, Quality Manager, Scheduler, Planners, Fabricators, and Accounting Manager. Must possess excellent people skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
