About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely inventory levels within the warehouse. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory procedures, data analysis, and vendor coordination. The role supports operational efficiency, cost control, and inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures and warehouse processes.
• Keyboarding and data entry proficiency.
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to work independently.
• Professional demeanor and ability to build vendor relationships.
• Basic math and analytical problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with computerized inventory systems required.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records, including daily tracking, audits, and adjustments.
• Analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Implement and utilize inventory control systems such as barcoding or RFID.
• Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to maintain stock accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct financial analysis to reduce waste and optimize inventory levels.
• Use software (e.g., Nielsen) to track sales data and adjust inventory as needed.
• Coordinate with internal departments to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, as needed to support inventory activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
