About The Position

McWane Ductile is North America's leading and most experienced ductile iron pipe manufacturer and supplier, with a rich history dating back to 1926. As a family-owned company, we play a vital role in securing the future of America's water infrastructure. This position is responsible for maintaining item and description integrity, as well as location and stock level accuracy for ductile iron pipe. The Inventory Specialist performs cycle counts, determines root causes of inventory inaccuracies, and recommends corrective actions. They collaborate with various departments to resolve inventory issues, act as the main focal point for production posting, and communicate inaccuracies with department heads as needed.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in inventory management related field preferred OR 3 – 5 years of related experience.
• Must be capable of performing accurate mathematical calculations and analyzing problems.
• Have good organizational skills and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Windows, MS Office programs and applications.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at once.
• Time and priority management are a must.
• Ability to work and collaborate with a diverse group of people.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Sage, Microsoft D365 Dynamics, and/or any ERP system is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pipe & accessory inventory.
• Lead weekly inventory meetings.
• Manage inventory transactions with Microsoft Dynamics D365.
• Organize pipe yard & accessory warehouse in conjunction with shipping department.
• Conduct monthly (or as needed) inventories of pipe & accessories.
• Maintain monthly inventory accuracy and recommend continual improvement initiatives.
• Reviews history of item usage to help determine mins/max levels.
• Able to research historical inventory transactions to solve discrepancies and correct inventory errors.
