About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in keeping manufacturing operations running smoothly by maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating materials, supporting production, and processing shipments. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving problems and working across teams. The purpose of this role is to ensure materials, inventory, data, and shipments are accurate and available when needed. This role supports efficient production and warehouse operations by keeping materials and information moving accurately and on time. This role is for someone who enjoys staying organized and keeping things moving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, likes solving problems and digging into the details to understand why something doesn’t add up, takes pride in accuracy, enjoys being a key support partner to Production, Materials, and Warehouse teams, and likes a role where every day brings a mix of responsibilities rather than doing the same task all day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, inventory control, warehouse, or production.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and data.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems; IFS experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with data entry, inventory management, and production documentation.
  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Ability to generate and interpret reports, KPIs, and operational data.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with shipping processes, including small parcel and LTL shipments, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and investigate inventory variances.
  • Issue, stage, and coordinate materials for production orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and identify opportunities to improve accuracy.
  • Generate and process travelers, work instructions, labels, and shop order documentation.
  • Enter and maintain production data in IFS, including KPIs, OEE, and MRB.
  • Prepare reports and investigate data or documentation discrepancies.
  • Pick, prepare, and process daily small parcel and LTL shipments.
  • Provide backup support for receiving, material handling, production line supply, and purchase orders.
  • Partner with Materials, Production, and Warehouse teams to support daily operations.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and other operational projects as needed.
