About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for establishing and publishing inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role involves daily communication with Warehouse Supervisors to coordinate these schedules and ensure necessary resources are allocated. The specialist will provide daily analysis and statistics of audit results, perform spot audits on various warehouse personnel, and interact with supervisors to identify trends and areas for corrective action. Additionally, the role includes data entry, report preparation, and handling Ratings & Billing duties. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in spreadsheet applications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent audit skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
  • Highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audit results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Performs data entry and prepares standard reports and spreadsheets.
  • Collects, organizes, records, and files information.
  • Performs Rating & Billing duties.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
