Inventory Control Specialist I
About The Position
Help keep every pick location stocked and every inventory count accurate. As an Inventory Control Specialist I, you will build expertise in one of two core areas: high reach replenishment or systematic cycle counting. Your work will support efficient order fulfillment, dependable inventory records, and a safe warehouse operation. This is a foundational role on RefrigiWear's Dahlonega inventory team. You will follow warehouse management system instructions, use RF scanning technology, and work closely with the Inventory Lead to maintain product availability and inventory accuracy. The position is well suited for someone who works safely, follows detailed processes, and takes pride in accurate results.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift certification for a stand-up reach truck or stock picker.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and handheld RF scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent standard of scan and count accuracy.
- Clear communication, dependable teamwork, and a commitment to safety and established procedures.
Nice To Haves
- High-reach equipment experience is strongly preferred.
- HighJump experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a stand-up reach truck to retrieve bulk pallets from high-bay storage and replenish active picking locations based on real-time warehouse management system alerts.
- Complete system generated blind counts by physically counting pieces, cartons, or pallets and recording results with an RF scanner.
- Scan each item and location tag accurately to keep warehouse inventory data synchronized.
- Report damaged pallets, improper storage, unreadable barcodes, and other inventory concerns promptly to the Inventory Lead.
- Follow warehouse aisle traffic patterns, equipment safety rules, standard operating procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Participate in pre-shift huddles, safety communications, and other assigned warehouse duties.
