About The Position

The Inventory Control Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including staff management, cost control, and equipment reliability. This role involves participating in recruitment, directing and scheduling warehouse staff, and managing department performance through coaching and motivation. The manager will coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure efficiency and cohesion, oversee cost control measures to strengthen gross profit, and maintain the operational reliability of warehouse equipment through a third-party vendor, while safeguarding company assets. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 5 or more years of experience with warehouse work.
• 3 or more years of supervisory or management experience with Inventory Control.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex warehouse operational issues.
• Ability to be a team-player and work effectively with senior-level staff.
• Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.
• Proficient at MS Office
• Ability to pay attention to detail and be highly organized.
• Ability to handle warehouse accounting and book-keeping.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory control system.
• Working knowledge of safety and security procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in speaking with internal and external customers.
• Ability to build a team, establish processes, and hold direct reports accountable.
• Excellent audit skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
• Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Thorough knowledge of the operational business.
• Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
• Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the recruitment of hourly employees for the warehouse.
• Ensures planning, direction, scheduling, and assignment of jobs for warehouse staff.
• Manages department performance through coaching, mentoring and motivation of warehouse staff.
• Coordinates work activities of warehouse operations with other departments to ensure better efficiency and cohesion.
• Oversees cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.
• Maintains operational reliability of warehouse equipment, through a third-party vendor, and safeguards company assets.
• Other duties as assigned.
