About The Position

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations and ensuring inventory accuracy across all warehouse activities. This role serves as the operational lead of the warehouse, overseeing receiving, inventory integrity, picking prioritization, and delivery coordination. The Inventory Control Manager provides day‑to‑day direction and leadership to warehouse staff, ensures work is completed accurately and efficiently, and acts as the primary point align inventory availability with purchasing decisions, while remaining focused on how materials are received, stored, and distributed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience in inventory management required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements
  • Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to manage the company supply chain of materials to meet the needs of the residents, investors, owners, and team members.
  • Ensure requested materials are delivered within approved service level agreements to best support our maintenance team in providing premier customer experiences
  • Assist with special projects that help build and maintain long-term relationships with residents, investors, owners, and team members.
  • Provide input and make recommendations on business process improvements and initiatives that align and help meet organizational goals.
  • In conjunction with the Purchasing Specialist, review and evaluate inventory orders and maintenance tasks to ensure all service requests are fulfilled.
  • Responsible for documenting, shipping, and receiving of products for the warehouse.
  • Oversee counting of physical inventory and conducting regular cycle counts.
  • Analyze inventory, receiving, and warehouse activity data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities related to accuracy, workflow, and material availability.
  • Responsible for business continuity of the following roles: Purchasing Specialist, Warehouse Driver or Warehouse Associate(s)
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Perform and lead all receiving activities, ensuring materials are received accurately, verified against purchase orders, and properly documented. This includes the proper documentation of any returns.
  • Ensure warehouse organization standards are adhered to including bin labeling and management as well as put away standards are met
  • Provide hands‑on support with picking and staging orders to maintain efficient warehouse flow and meet delivery priorities
  • Provide guidance to Warehouse Driver on optimal routes for delivery and any pickups, as needed
  • Lead cycle counts, reconciliations, and investigation of variances.
  • Own overall inventory accuracy for the warehouse
  • Identify and resolve root causes of inventory discrepancies.
  • Train and coach warehouse team members on procedures, safety, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate system records in partnership with Purchasing Specialist.
  • Maintain accurate parts catalog in both electronic and print versions
  • Manage and update standard operating procedures (SOP) manuals to reflect current practices and improvements.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible, well-organized, and safe.
  • Answering phone calls, emails or chats and providing excellent customer service.
  • Be responsible and accountable for your actions and reactions.
  • Understand and engage in trainings, projects and processes aligned to this role and any organization-wide required trainings within the defined timelines.
  • Work side by side along with leadership and support teams as appropriate.
