The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing the Inventory Department and supporting the company with all tasks and assignments in order to accomplish its goals and the company’s goals.

  • Minimum 10 years work related experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English.
  • Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material.
  • Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public.
  • Must have an advanced understanding of mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, and/or calculus.
  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Inventory Department to accomplish its goals and objectives.
  • Works to support other departments within the company and to accomplish company goals.
  • Interacts & communicates with all levels within the company to achieve goals and resolve issues.
  • Works with Purchasing & Engineering on obsolete material, ECO’s, vendor, and material issues.
  • Works with planning to resolve inventory issues, work order problems, and bills of material (BOM) errors.
  • Writes, establishes & approves department policies & procedures.
  • Makes recommendations for capital expenses and reviews department operating costs.
  • Coordinate team projects.
  • Establishes themselves as a leader with proven abilities and skills.
  • Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
  • Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
  • Directly and indirectly supervises employees.
  • This position is held responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all work units.
  • Supervises in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Additional responsibilities consist of: interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
