About The Position

As an Inventory Control Lead team member at Smithfield Foods, you’ll play a key role in supporting accurate inventory management and efficient warehouse operations. Your attention to detail, leadership, and strong work ethic will help ensure our products are properly tracked, handled safely, and delivered on time. You’ll contribute to a positive work environment, help maintain inventory accuracy, and support your team in meeting operational goals. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, reaching, and handling materials.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to a 12-hour shift.
Work in a warehouse environment that may include temperature changes and varying conditions.
Operate or work around warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, or hearing protection.
Work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.
Bend, stoop, and twist throughout the course of an entire shift.
Lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs., with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inventory activities and assist with inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
Perform inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and batch/code corrections.
Respond to internal customer inquiries related to inventory issues.
Support the training and development of employees to understand inventory processes and systems.
Work scheduled shifts and potentially overtime depending on business needs.
