The Inventory Control I is responsible for ensuring that company inventory is properly and securely stored and recorded, from time of receipt until use or shipment. This role involves performing various daily housekeeping tasks, maintaining work and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion, and communicating and coordinating material status information to designated personnel. The position also requires conducting inventory counts, verifying item storage, location, and quantity, and maintaining control and accuracy of material and records using both manual and electronic inventory control systems. Additionally, the Inventory Control I will load and unload inventory, utilize handling equipment to move material, and perform inventory functions such as pulling, packing, delivering, and staging inventory. Accurate database entry is crucial to ensure physical counts match electronic records.
