About The Position
VDL Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Control Forklift Driver to join our team. As a forklift driver, you will be responsible for managing and organizing inventory within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in operating forklifts and a strong understanding of inventory control practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
- Order list planning
- Counting on-hand inventory as needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload inventory
- Accurately track and record inventory movements
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize workflow and efficiency
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or repacks damaged product
- Inspects and restocks returned products
- Assist with inbound and outbound receiving
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
