About The Position

Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company dedicated to advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure to improve life. The Inventory Control Cycle Counter role is responsible for researching inventory discrepancies, submitting accurate inventory and bin location reports, and assisting in determining root causes for these discrepancies to implement corrective actions. This position also involves responding to inquiries from Customer Service, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering departments in a timely manner, assisting with material location, and updating material counts in the database. The role requires strict adherence to all safety rules and regulations, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area. Additional tasks and projects may be assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, reach daily and as needed to perform all job functions
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Perform different job functions within the organization in reference to job
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
  • Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
  • Responsible for answering CS, Warehouse, Production and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist all departments where to locate materials.
  • Assist in updating all counts/materials in database.
  • Always follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Always maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
