About The Position

This role provides the daily coordination of all receiving and stores activities across the site. The Inventory Control Coordinator reviews and implements all company inventory control strategies and policies to assure consistent application across the site. This position performs inventory cycle counting and physical inventories as defined and provides reporting, ensuring that all inventory transactions and stock status reports are completed on a timely basis. The coordinator also handles the disposition of all scrap materials and return authorizations at the site, cooperating with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship. They recognize and take steps to resolve inventory control problems to minimize the impact on operations and maintain consistent communication through department meetings. Additionally, this role works with production line supervisors and Buyer/Planners to establish and maintain effective KANBAN inventory levels and replenishment procedures, while adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment. The position requires demonstrating MITER Brands Guiding Principles in all business interactions, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Software and Oracle or other operating systems as required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High School or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Three to five years in a high-volume warehouse manufacturing facility.
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • May be required to frequently lift to 50 lbs. Depending on the job.
  • Hand dexterity and strength.
  • Prolonged sitting and terminal use.
  • Primarily operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Full-time position with standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and ability to deploy APICS, Supply Chain Management and Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
