About The Position

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Inventory Control Coordinator to assist our Distribution Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers. JELD-WEN is one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 22,000 employees operating in 24 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows.

Requirements

Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

Previous inventory control experience
Previous clerical experience in a warehouse/transportation setting
Leadership capability
Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for accurately maintaining detailed records of inventory, including: physical inventory, orders, transfers and cycle counts
Performs appropriate adjustments on inventory levels
Ability to critically think and research discrepancies, as it relates to inventory levels
Reconcile quantity discrepancies between stock and record
Develops, recommends, and implements new processes and procedures when necessary
Works with warehouse leadership to ensure procedures are followed, as it relates to inventory used
Lead teams to perform inventory counts and maintain accurate levels
Assists with physical inventory
