About The Position

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy across the company's manufacturing and third-party warehouse operations. This role oversees inventory transfers, reconciles physical inventory to system records, conducts and leads cycle counts and physical inventories, investigates discrepancies, and analyzes inventory data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. The position serves as a key liaison between internal teams, the third-party warehouse, and logistics providers to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience reconciling physical inventory to system records and investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile inventory data.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to independently identify issues, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively work with internal teams, third-party warehouse providers, and logistics partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience working with a third-party logistics provider (3PL).
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory management software.
  • Experience managing inventory transfers between facilities.
  • Experience analyzing inventory trends and recommending process improvements.
  • Manufacturing experience, particularly in a food or regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the transfer of inventory and warehouse operations from the manufacturing site to the third-party warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory movement and documentation.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing inventory shipments, verifying quantities, documentation, and system transactions for accuracy.
  • Receive and verify incoming materials, confirm quantities and lot codes and enter receipts into the inventory system. Notify Purchasing and QA of any missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system and ensure inventory movements are recorded timely and accurately.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and lead quarterly physical inventory counts, reconciling physical inventory to system records.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and third-party warehouse personnel.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, third-party warehouse personnel, carriers, and logistics providers to maintain accurate and efficient inventory flow.
  • Prepare and analyze inventory reports, identify trends or recurring discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
  • Monitor inventory processes and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
