About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for all aspects of inventory control, including checking inventory accuracy, reducing inventory levels, minimizing risk exposure, and maintaining overall compliance with Ferraro Foods’ policies and procedures. This role performs other duties as required by management and is accountable to, and supervised by, Warehouse Management.

Requirements

Analytical and detail-oriented.
Extensive experience with Excel and spreadsheet management.
Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Minimum of two years of prior warehouse or related experience.
Basic experience in MS Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of inventory control systems and processes.
Excellent communications skills.
Good writing skills.
Experience with Electric Pallet Jack.

Nice To Haves

Prior Food Industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cycle counts, including research and reconciliation of discrepancies, driver shorts, out of stocks, and randoms.
Utilize IDS/ERP system for all job aspects and implement radio frequency scanners.
Track and report inventory needs and communicate incoming material discrepancies in cooperation with the Inventory Control Manager.
Notify purchasing and sales of near expiration and short-dated product on a regular basis.
Receipt/Inventory Reconciliation.
Inventory discrepancies research.
Inventory adjustments.
Ensure accuracy of receipt storage.
Utilize Powerhouse systems.
Check quality of produce, identify split cases for next-day shipping, and ensure their completion by end of day.
Manage storage.
Manage date-sensitive checks in Retalix.
Perform daily counts of core cheese and protein items.
Locate new rack space for products.
