About The Position

BJ's Wholesale Club is looking for dedicated team members to join their world-class team. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and efficiency within the club. The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for executing departmental inventory counts, processing damaged or defective merchandise, and ensuring sellable items are properly re-wrapped. This position works collaboratively with various departments to uphold inventory control standards and contribute to the overall success of the club. Requirements

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

• Execute departmental inventory counts and control count cycles within assigned deadlines.
• Process and sort damaged, defective, or return-to-vendor merchandise.
• Reduce salvage and obtain return authorizations from vendors.
• Re-wrap sellable merchandise according to guidelines.
• Work cross-functionally with departments to complete inventory control responsibilities.
• Maintain correct stock/inventory status for all damaged, defective, and returned merchandise.
• Assess breakage logs and process merchandise out of inventory.
• Process freezer and dairy damages.
• Conduct daily club safety walks.
• Administer salvage and donation merchandise orders.
• Execute merchandise protection on designated items.
• Review daily return reports, process merchandise recalls, and process tire and battery returns.
• Ensure the department is organized and clean, following safety, filing, and lock-up standards.
• Enter weekly front door recoveries into the case management system.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
