About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring an Inventory Control Clerk (Shipping/Receiving) at its Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. The role supports factory operations by receiving, stocking, and delivering parts and supplies, transporting materials, and maintaining electronic and hard-copy inventory records. The team maintains inventory of parts, materials, and supplies to support 24x7 operations. The position works first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and trains and operates in both shipping/receiving and an inventory warehouse. It is safety sensitive and is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship. Travel time is listed as 0%–25%.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of work experience.
Customer-service orientation.
Ability to work well with others and independently.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with MS Office software.
Data-entry experience.
Valid driver's license to transport materials to an off-site warehouse as needed.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse, stores, shipping, or receiving experience in a manufacturing setting.
Baan/ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

Receive and stock parts and raw materials according to established procedures.
Pull parts and raw materials from stock and deliver them to internal customers according to established procedures, including FIFO.
Locate and follow procedures in the specification database and training guide.
Cycle count spare-parts inventory.
Inventory raw materials, including gases and chemicals.
Update or modify spare-parts and raw-material information.
Process and review inventory purchase orders (PIOs) for accuracy and need.
Complete computer entries and documentation to track inventory accurately.
Operate lifting devices such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Prepare product shipments.
Coordinate with Supply Management, expedite parts for down equipment, reorder low stock, and manage repair-parts shipments.
Train and operate in shipping/receiving and an inventory warehouse.
