The Inventory Control Clerk receives deliveries of products from all DSD vendors, verifies invoice accuracy, and operates the receiving system according to Company and Division policies. This role is responsible for maintaining a good rapport with vendors and champions the Company and Division customer service programs to meet or exceed goals, promoting Albertson’s philosophy of personalized service. The clerk ensures cost, quality, and inventory controls by verifying orders against invoices, auditing product contents, and using the electronic receiving system. They reconcile vendor invoices, input differences, balance receiving information, and maintain organized records. This position also prevents shrink, damage, and spoilage, and is responsible for the security, sanitation, and organization of the receiving, storage, and loading dock areas. Training duties are also performed.
