About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for completing daily inventory updates, compiling exception reports, and maintaining inventory jackets including MSOs and titles. This role involves researching and requesting items from other locations, reviewing reports, issuing floorplan checks, and preparing daily fundings. The clerk will also assist with processing wholesale deals, issuing refund checks to customers, and providing filing and receptionist duties as needed. Additionally, the position requires scanning invoices/MSRP, resolving discrepancies in inventory data, updating the Transportation Log, and transferring inventory and DMV packets. Collaboration with management and other departments, providing assistance to accounting staff, and supporting month-end closing procedures are also key responsibilities. For the Tucson office, this role includes purchasing new units into accounting software systems and providing audit support. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Knowledge of automotive accounting; understanding of debits and credits.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • General knowledge of Excel, internet applications and ERP systems.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment.
  • Ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
  • Ability to hear and speak.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs often.
  • Ability to occasionally push and pull items in excess of 55lbs with or without assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.
  • Utilizes problem solving skills for business related issues and works proactively to find solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily inventory to update sold notices, rollbacks and switches.
  • Compile daily exception report to ensure 100% inventory accountability.
  • Maintain all inventory jackets including MSOs and titles, with weekly inventory checks.
  • Research and request items not accounted for from other locations.
  • Review invoice/MSRP/ACV reports daily, scanning missing items into appropriate folders the same day.
  • Issue floorplan checks from the 3-Day Temporary Registration Report.
  • Prepare posting daily fundings and assist with processing wholesale deals.
  • Assist DMV clerk with issuing refund checks to customers for excess license fees.
  • Provide filing and receptionist duties as needed.
  • Scan invoices/MSRP to the appropriate person(s) for purchasing.
  • View inventory on RV Point daily to resolve discrepancies or misspellings on sales code, color, fuel code, footage, body size, and order numbers.
  • Update daily transportation moves to and from each location using the Transportation Log.
  • Transfer jackets & DMV packets to appropriate locations as units are moved.
  • Print stock sheets every Friday or as requested by Sales Manager.
  • Package inventory and other files as needed for relocation.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and communicate discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments via phone and email.
  • Provide coverage and/or assistance for other accounting staff when needed.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Purchase New Units into current accounting software systems (Tucson office only).
  • Provide back-up for audit upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
