This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within the warehouse. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
  • Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Inventory Control practices; KPI reporting, Coordinating Cycle Count programs, Product rotation.
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.
  • Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
  • Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 p.hr
  • Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers will receive an additional $1.00 p.hr

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating activities of workers concerned with inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
  • Maintaining layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors in items stored.
  • Studying records and recommending remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
  • Reviewing records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • Scheduling work for special and periodic inventories.
  • Preparing composite reports from individual reports of Inventory Specialists.
  • Tracing history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommending remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Issuing written/oral instructions and expediting workflow with team members.
  • Assigning duties and examining work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by manager.
  • Traveling to assist other facilities and having reliable transportation.
